The year 2001 introduces The Attention Trainer, "user friendly" and profoundly sensitive neurofeedback computer equipment enabling neurofeedback to now be done in the privacy of your own home. Symptoms of distractibility, impulsivity, hyperactivity and inattention which are interfering with school, home and business relationships can be specifically be addressed. The games provided are fun, stimulating and serve a specific purpose in training your attention. The Attention Trainer teaches the user to control action in the games with their ability to focus. The software monitors brainwaves indicative of focus and cognitive processing (Beta) along with sensory motor response (SMR) and computes an Attention Index which can be plotted showing a steady improvement over the course of use. Theta and Alpha (slow waves found to be dominant in ADD/ADHD) are inhibited by the games. A typical course ideally will be 60 thirty minute or more sessions.
